Sparke Helmore announces 5 new partners and adds 32 to Special Counsel and Senior Associate ranks
15-July-2024Congratulations to Aimee Dash from our Commercial Insurance practice based in Perth, Nell McGill from our Corporate & Commercial practice based in Newcastle, Carly Roberts from our Projects & Government Commercial practice based in Newcastle, Jon Tyne from our Commercial Insurance practice based in Sydney and Calvin Tay from our Property practice based in Melbourne, who have been promoted to partner.
Aimee Dash is an insurance lawyer who specialises in liability and workplace health and safety matters in WA. Aimee advises a variety of insured and private clients in the defence of personal injury, medical malpractice, property damage and aviation disputes. In addition Aimee assists clients with WHS incident investigations, in the defence of prosecutions and in WHS processes and procedures.
Nell McGill is a commercial litigator with over two decades of experience in dispute resolution, with a particular focus on contentious personal and corporate insolvency, where she acts primarily for insolvency practitioners. Nell also advises directors, shareholders and stakeholders in a wide range of general commercial litigation matters,
Carly Roberts is an experienced projects, infrastructure and construction lawyer. She assists clients throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, including project structuring, tendering and procurement, contract negotiation, project delivery and dispute resolution. Carly advises Commonwealth, State and local governments, energy and resources companies, property developers and major contractors in the transport, water, energy and resources, defence and property industry sectors.
Jon Tyne is an insurance lawyer and litigator with a breadth of experience across complex financial lines matters and reinsurance disputes. Acting for national and international insurers and reinsurers, Jon advises clients on coverage issues and acts for their insureds in all lines of speciality risk including professional indemnity, directors and officers, management liability, warranty and indemnity, and cyber. He advises on the application of reinsurance arrangements and acts in commercial disputes. Jon also has an interest in emerging risks and associated insurance products.
Calvin Tay is a property lawyer with experience in advising listed corporations, developers, property funds and managers on all aspects of property and development ranging from acquisitions and disposals of retail, industrial, commercial and development land, retail, banking, food and beverage, fuel and energy and commercial leasing, property development in various sectors, joint ventures, financing and structuring of transactions.
