Calvin is a property lawyer who specialises in large-scale and complex acquisitions and divestments, leasing matters, joint ventures and developments. Calvin primarily acts for clients on a ‘portfolio’ basis, acting as their first point of contact and trusted adviser across a range of asset classes. He also brings his expertise and know-how to one-off projects and other matters.

Calvin advises clients on all aspects of property and development ranging from acquisitions and disposals of retail, industrial, commercial and development land, retail, banking, food and beverage, fuel and energy and commercial leasing, property development in various sectors, joint ventures, financing and structuring of transactions.

Calvin works with listed corporations, fuel and energy corporations, national food and beverage operators, managed funds, developers, asset managers, family offices and major Australian banks.
Qualifications
Calvin holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore in 2015, Calvin worked at a Melbourne law firm specialising in property and development, predominantly dealing with Asia-based developers, family offices, managed funds and high net worth individuals.
Life outside of Sparkes
Calvin is a lifelong Manchester United supporter. He is also a coffee connoisseur, foodie and Instagrammer and can often be found at Melbourne's newest restaurants and cafés. Calvin also mentors young professionals, law students and graduates via his university’s alumni network, professional associations and at his local church.
