Congratulations to Michelle Taylor, Partner for being appointed as a member of Sparke Helmore’s Board. The Board sets the strategic direction of the partnership and the business and we look forward to the experience Michelle brings to this role.

Michelle is an accomplished lawyer with more than 25 years' experience as a litigator and specialises in maritime and transport law based in our Brisbane office. Michelle features as a leading shipping and transport practitioner in Chambers, Legal 500, Doyle’s and Best Lawyers. She is also very active in the maritime and transport industries including being the President of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (MLAANZ) and on the Executive of the Australian Maritime and Transport Arbitration Commission (AMTAC).

“I am excited to be part of the future direction of Sparke Helmore and thank the Partners for electing and trusting me in this role,” Michelle said.

We also thank outgoing board member Scott McDonald, Partner based in our Sydney office for his contribution to the Board over the last three years. He has provided invaluable guidance on the direction of Sparke Helmore, which is consistent with our values.

Michelle joins Roland Hassall (Chair), Andrew White (National Managing Partner), Partners Karwan Eskerie, Michael Dwyer, Maxine Feletti and Non-Executive Directors Libby Davidson and John Martin.
