Sparke Helmore appoints two new Board members
28-November-2019Sparke Helmore Lawyers has appointed Belinda Michalk and Scott McDonald as new Board members, to work alongside Chairman Andrew White in delivery of the firm’s strategy to be a market-leading Australian professional services business.
Belinda has been with Sparke Helmore since 2002. She is a partner in the Commercial Insurance practice group and works with national and international insurers, self-insured entities and government agencies. Belinda is Local Managing Partner of the firm’s Perth office and sits on the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee. She was listed in Best Lawyers in Australia for Insurance Law in 2019.
Scott joined the firm in 2017, coming to us from DLA Piper where he spent more than 30 years of his career in practice and management. Scott is a partner in the Corporate & Commercial practice group and as a commercial litigator, acts for a range of large public and private corporations, government authorities, SMEs and individuals engaged in commercial activities or exercising governance in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, banking and financial services. Scott is also a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee.
