Yvette is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law with more than 17 years' experience in the insurance industry. She has practised predominantly in defending statutory classes, common law and general insurance claims since 1996. She also regularly advises on liability issues.
What she does
Yvette advises clients on complex statutory and liability claims, property recovery claims, multiple party actions, indemnity and quantum issues, scheme-sensitive matters and complex litigation. She acts in matters under the Queensland WorkCover, PIPA and CTP regulations, and advises clients on claims proceedings and civil liability legislation. She is committed to anticipating legislative change and capturing the benefits of evolving technology.

Qualifications
Yvette graduated from QUT in 1993 with a Bachelor of Laws. She undertook two years' articles of clerkship before being admitted on 11 March 1996. Since 2002, Yvette has been an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore in November 2012, Yvette led the insurance practice at her former firm, MacDonnells Law, for more than 10 years.
Life outside of Sparkes
Yvette takes every opportunity to travel, or to spend time in tropical places, with her family. She also enjoys hobbies as diverse as book-collecting and fishing.
