Siddharth Laha

What he does

Siddharth works with in-house legal teams, client areas and other external advisors on contracting issues and disputes as well as significant procurement projects and probity requirements, including drafting contracts and tender documentation. Siddharth prides himself on his ability to ensure that clients receive practical and holistic solutions to their problems.

Siddharth works with corporate and non-corporate Commonwealth entities assisting with procurement and commercial law issues.

Qualifications

Siddharth has a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Sydney and a Juris Doctor from the University of New South Wales. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting.

Life before Sparkes

Siddharth joined Sparke Helmore in April 2021. Before this, he has worked at the Department of Home Affairs as a Legal Officer and was a Manager in the Law division of a global professional services firm.  This experience has given him a unique understanding of the broader political, strategic and whole-of-department concerns and objectives affecting Commonwealth Government agencies.  

Life outside of Sparkes

Siddharth is a sporting tragic and regularly stays up to odd hours to watch Premier League football. During the daylight hours, Siddharth enjoys cricket – whether watching on the TV or going to matches with friends and family.

Siddharth also has a passion for the arts and considers himself a (very) amateur painter.
