Rosemary is an experienced litigation lawyer who specialises in insurance law, with particular expertise in general and public liability.
What she does
Rosemary prosecutes and defends recovery actions against negligent third parties and claims involving occupier and public liability, medical negligence, workplace injuries and statutory entitlements, and employment law.
Who she works with
Rosemary acts on behalf of Australian and international insurers, self-insurers, corporate entities and individuals.
Qualifications
Rosemary holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (College of Law) and a Graduate Diploma in Social Science from La Trobe University.
She is admitted to practice in the Victorian and Commonwealth jurisdictions.
Life before Sparkes
Rosemary has worked in the legal industry for 20 years. She began her career as a legal assistant, while studying for her qualifications. She was admitted to practice in 2006 and worked at Russell Kennedy Lawyers as an associate for eight years before joining Sparke Helmore in 2015.
Life outside of Sparkes
Rosemary is a self-confessed Eurovision tragic. She enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures and food, off-road adventures, photography and discovering "how stuff works".
