Kiley is a highly experienced construction and insurance lawyer with more than 26 years’ experience in dispute resolution, litigation, contract negotiation and risk management.
Kiley is highly sought after for her problem-solving and crisis management skills and ability to manage all facets of high value, commercially complex and sensitive disputes, including stakeholder and media management. She has experience across a range of international jurisdictions including New Zealand, French Polynesia, South East Asia, Europe and Dubai.
What she does
Kiley advises clients on construction disputes in the commercial, industrial, infrastructure, energy and utilities (including renewables), and institutional sectors. Her insurance advice has a focus on property, professional indemnity, management liability, directors’ and officers’ and liability.

Kiley works with public and private companies in the construction industry, government entities, Australian and international insurers, brokers and intermediaries.
Qualifications
Kiley holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of New England.
Kiley’s experience is complemented by practical industry knowledge gained through her direct involvement in the construction industry, including her position on the Qld Events Committee of the National Association of Women in Construction, which she has held since 2020. She has similar practical knowledge of the insurance industry gained through her former position as President of the NSW Claims Discussion Group and long-standing memberships of, and involvement with, a variety of industry associations.
Life before Sparkes
Kiley is based in Brisbane and joined Sparke Helmore after 19 years with various top tier and boutique law firms in Sydney.
Life outside of Sparkes
Kiley is a netball enthusiast and enjoys playing, supporting her daughter’s team and her role on the committee of the school netball supporters’ group.
She also loves exploring destinations new and old, visiting friends and family around the world, and enjoying local food and wine.
