Victoria is a commercial lawyer with extensive experience advising on the commercial aspects of contracting and procurement as well as the probity issues along the way.
What she does
Victoria provides legal and probity advice to government clients on a range of major projects, including drafting and advising on the approach to market documentation, the procurement process, evaluations, negotiations and contract management issues. She also advises clients on the application of relevant policy and legislation, and works closely with them to ensure compliance.
Through a number of secondment opportunities, Victoria has gained a strong understanding of the way in which government clients operate and the issues they often face.

Victoria works with government departments and agencies at various levels of government.
Qualifications
Victoria has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business Management (International Business) from the University of Queensland. She also has Graduate Diplomas in Legal Practice (from College of Law) and International Affairs (from the Australian National University).
Life before Sparkes
Victoria joined Sparke Helmore while she was still studying at university. She has worked across the Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne offices, and has extensive litigation and negotiation experience having from her time in the Commercial Insurance practice group.
Before Sparke Helmore, Victoria worked at a small family law firm while studying in Brisbane and undertook internships in Germany, the UK and USA at international law firms as well as with in-house counsel.
Life outside of Sparkes
Victoria recently discovered the amazing world of scuba diving on her honeymoon in the Maldives and is waiting for the day she wins the lottery so she can return and dive every day for months on end.
She is also an art and ballet enthusiast, having danced for most of her life, and thoroughly enjoys Melbourne’s cultural offerings.
