Renée is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law. She specialises in insurance litigation with a focus on CTP claims and fraud. Her expertise extends to indemnity disputes, dual insurance and recovery issues.
What she does
Renée has been involved in litigation in Local and District Courts, the Supreme Court of NSW, ACT Supreme Court, NSW Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia. She also manages claims in the Claims Assessment and Resolution Service (CARS). Renée is a regular participant in industry seminars and is open to opportunities to engage with clients and the insurance industry, generally.
Who she works with
Renée acts on behalf of a number of major general insurers in CTP and major claims, often involving fraud issues, complex liability issues and multi-party matters.
Qualifications
Renée holds a Diploma of Law from the Legal Practitioners Admissions Board. She is an Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law and a member of the Association for Women in Insurance. Doyle's Guide has recommended her as a preeminent defendant CTP lawyer based on client and peer feedback.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Renée was a partner at Curwoods Lawyers for six years. Before that, she was a partner at Gillis Delaney Lawyers.
Life outside of Sparkes
Each year Renée looks forward to her family holiday, skiing on the beautiful slopes in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Shopping and fine wine are her guiltiest pleasures, but above all else, she is a devoted step-mother to Hugh and mother to Patrick, as well as her two fur babies, Baxter and Ralph.
