Molly is an experienced administrative law practitioner, who specialises in Information Law (Information Release, Privacy and Freedom of Information (FOI)).
What she does
Molly specialises in information law, with a particular focus on FOI. Molly has firsthand experience working with Agencies in responding to FOI requests and in FOI appeal matters before the Australian Information Commissioner, Administrative Review Tribunal and Federal Court of Australia.
Who she works with
Molly works with Commonwealth and state government entities.
Qualifications
Molly holds a Masters of Legal Practice, Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Music from the ANU (although her clarinet doesn’t help much in Court).
During her time at the ANU, Molly was awarded the Phillipa Weeks Scholarship in Law and the ANU Region Scholarship.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore as a graduate, Molly worked in administrative and paralegal positions in various Canberra-based legal firms after moving from her family farm in southern NSW to study at the ANU.
Life outside of Sparkes
Molly recently became a Mum, so has taken up the hobby of playground critiquing. She is also a keen swimmer and gardener and still tries to use her music degree, playing and performing with music ensembles in and around Canberra.
