Alice specialises in providing commercial services to Government clients, including legal and probity advice on contracting and procurement. She also advises on administrative law issues, including access to information, judicial and merits review and statutory interpretation.
What she does
Alice provides legal, process and probity advice to Government clients on a range of commercial projects. This includes drafting approach to market and contract documents, assisting on all aspects of a market process and negotiating and finalising contracts. She also advises on privacy, governance and litigated matters.
Alice has completed secondments to a range of state and Commonwealth Government clients, which has provided her with an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day operations of Government departments and agencies, the issues they face and the various internal and external sensitivities surrounding their work.

Alice primarily works with Commonwealth and NSW departments and agencies.
Qualifications
Alice has a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice (Hons) from Flinders University.
Life before Sparkes
Alice has been with Sparke Helmore since she was admitted in 2007. She originally joined the firm's Adelaide office as a clerk in 2006 and then spent five years working in the firm's Sydney office. Alice returned home to Adelaide in December 2013.
Life outside of Sparkes
Alice enjoys the local food and wine in Adelaide, and spending as much time as she can with family and friends. She also spends her time trying to stop her Labrador from destroying her house and clothes.
