Quality and consistency through collaboration

All.Workplace.Employment

It has been nearly a year since we launched “The Evolving Workplace” podcast series—delving into trends and highlighting anticipated developments across employment and safety issues.

We’re refreshing the series this year by introducing new formats, including our “Talk 5 in 5” episodes.  Intentionally brief, these podcasts continue to cover interesting workplace law issues, while honing in on the five key points you need to know about a particular workplace topic in five minutes.

Modern Slavery is the focus of our first edition, featuring Ian Bennett, Ben Gottlieb and  Josephine Lennon from our Workplace team.

In this episode we explain what constitutes Modern Slavery, its relevance and developments in Australia, including the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), requirements and deadlines to lodge statements, supply chain risk management processes, and principles that overlap with other workplace legislation.

To listen to this edition, go to The Evolving Workplace: Modern Slavery and be directed to Sparke Helmore's podcast page on our website or listen on Podbean through The Sparke Cast host page.
