Quality and consistency through collaboration

Welcome to The Evolving Workplace podcast. This is the first edition of our team’s new podcast series, which will unpack some of the most topical issues facing employers.

If the start of 2020 is anything to go by, it is clear that this will be another challenging year for employers. In just the first few months of this year employers have had to grapple with the implications of the Mondelez decision, changes to annualised salary provisions under some Modern Awards, the #wagetheft movement and of course appropriate responses to unprecedented issues such as the bushfire crisis and most recently Coronavirus.

In this edition, Partner Felicity Edwards and Special Counsel Sam Jackson discuss some of the emerging issues of 2020, including the outcomes of the Dreamworld coronial inquest, industrial manslaughter laws and how employers should be responding to Coronavirus.
