Quality and consistency through collaboration

Congratulations to Laura Beattie from our Statutory Lines Insurance practice, who has been promoted to Partner effective 1 March 2026.

Laura, who joined the firm in 2014, has been a workers’ compensation practitioner for more than 25 years and is an experienced advocate and skilled negotiator.  She manages workers’ compensation claims on behalf of self-insurers and specialised insurers in the Personal Injury Commission, the District Court of NSW (Civil and Residual Jurisdiction), the Supreme Court of NSW, the Dust Disease Tribunal, and the NSW Court of Appeal.  Laura also advises on liability issues involving injury, causation, incapacity and entitlements with a focus on early resolution where appropriate. She has conducted the defence of complex claims, work injury damages and common law matters, as well as scheme-significant matters.
