Our contribution to community fundraising and pro bono legal assistance for individuals and charitable organisations we hope has resulted in a substantial and meaningful impact. Our Pro Bono Practice was honoured as a finalist in the Pro Bono Program of the Year category at the Lawyers Weekly 2024 Australian Law Awards for our innovative pro bono legal programs and dedication to delivering exceptional service.
We are pleased to present our latest social sustainability report—In Kind providing a summary of our pro bono legal work and community engagement across the firm during the 2023/2024 financial year. This past year marked our strongest performance to date, with over 17,500 hours of pro bono legal assistance provided to individuals in need, as well as not-for-profit and charitable organisations. Our average of 40.1 hours per FTE lawyer once again exceeded the National Pro Bono Target.
We are excited to share that we have ambitious plans for FY2024/2025—aiming for more than 18,000 pro bono hours!
