Vanessa is an experienced litigator who specialises in insurance law, with a particular interest in property damage claims. She is also the Pro Bono Co-ordinator for our Melbourne office.
What she does
Vanessa represents insurers and water authorities in a wide range of matters including public liability, Australian Consumer Law, property damage recoveries and claims under the Water Act 1989.
She also has a keen interest in Pro Bono work, having worked with the Mental Health Legal Centre for several years.

Vanessa acts on behalf of national and international insurers as well as several water authorities.
Qualifications
Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Media from Macquarie University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparkes in 2016, Vanessa worked in a smaller insurance firm, handling property damage recoveries.
Life outside of Sparkes
Vanessa enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and going to the theatre.
