Emily is an insurance litigator with experience across several lines of insurance, including general liability, property damage, motor vehicle and workers' compensation.
Emily advises and acts for insurers and clients in a range of litigated and unlitigated general liability claims. She provides advice on policy wording and coverage, contribution and recovery from third parties.
Emily works with Australian and international insurers and brokers, as well as national companies, particularly in the hospitality and retail industries. She regularly appears in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of NSW and Western Australia.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Business with majors in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Newcastle.
Since the start of her career in 2002, Emily has worked at two boutique insurance law firms. She recently returned from six years working in Western Australia, where she gained experience in general liability, industrial special risks, and state statutory classes of insurance in New South Wales and Western Australia. Emily joined Sparke Helmore in September 2016.
Emily enjoys relaxing with a true crime novel, travelling to Australia's fabulous wine regions to restock her cellar and running around after her two small children.
