Steven has extensive experience in all aspects of property law and specialises in development work involving complicated community titling and body corporate structuring and documenting those transactions.
Steven has been consistently listed in the Doyle’s Guide of leading lawyers in the areas of “Property & Real Estate Lawyers”, “Leasing Lawyers” and “Retirement Living & Aged Care Lawyers”.
What he does
Steven has acted for owners/developers and managers of major commercial properties, including shopping centres, CBD buildings, integrated resorts, residential developments, mixed use developments and specialist precinct developments.
In addition to Steven’s extensive technical skills, he holds an important leadership role, mentoring numerous junior lawyers within the firm. Steven brings a mindful and pragmatic approach to every situation, positioning him well to see the bigger picture for his team and his clients and leading commercial astute outcomes.

Life before Sparkes
Steven was one of the 25 members from ClarkeKann Lawyers Brisbane who joined forces with Sparke Helmore in September 2019. Steven, along with his team has added an exciting and strengthening component to the Corporate & Commercial team in Brisbane.
Life outside of Sparkes
Steven enjoys looking after his acreage property (including dogs, horses and the odd kangaroo) and likes to indulge in overseas travel with his family once or twice a year.
