Sarah is an experienced litigator and insurance lawyer. She advises insurers, corporations and professionals on a broad range of commercial disputes, with a particular focus on professional indemnity (PI) and directors' & officers' (D&O) matters.
What she does
Sarah advises insurers—and acts for their insured clients—on coverage issues for complex claims under PI, D&O and management liability policies, statutory compliance, investigations and defence of statutory prosecutions. She also conducts subrogated recovery claims on insurers' instructions.
Sarah has a background in general litigation and has acted for clients in the private sector in a range of commercial disputes.

Sarah works with Australian and international insurers, corporations and company officers, as well as individual professionals.
Qualifications
Sarah has a Bachelor of Asian Studies and Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University.
Life before Sparkes
Sarah's career started at a boutique commercial insurance and litigation firm where she spent nearly 10 years. She then worked at an international firm for more than four years before joining Sparke Helmore.
Life outside of Sparkes
Sarah enjoys indulging in travel, food and wine. These activities have been modified somewhat to accommodate the demands of a young family and an energetic Border Collie (who aren't so interested in visiting wineries).
