Ross specialises in construction litigation and dispute resolution, security of payment matters across Australia, defect claims and contract drafting. He regularly advises on disputes arising from defects, delays, variations, contract administration and project delivery. His experience includes acting for developers, head contractors, builders, owners’ corporations, private owners, local governments and state-owned corporations.

Qualifications
Ross has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Commercial Law) from Macquarie University.
Life before Sparkes
Ross began his legal career in a commercial litigation and property law firm before gaining advocacy experience as a junior clerk at a barristers’ chambers. Prior to joining Sparkes, he practised in commercial dispute resolution at a national mid-tier law firm before moving into construction, projects and local government law.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of Sparkes, Ross can usually be found on or near a football (soccer) pitch, making a mess in his kitchen while trying new recipes, or discovering Sydney’s newest bars and breweries with friends. He is a keen traveller who enjoys exploring new destinations through their food, wine and culture, often seeking out local spots or places recommended by Anthony Bourdain.
