Nicola Strangward

What she does

Nicola provides written and verbal advice to insurers throughout the claims lifecycle, with a particular interest in complex and fraudulent claims. She is skilled at synthesising voluminous material to provide concise, common-sense advice that supports insurers to achieve cost-effective resolution of claims. Nicola advocates for insurers in courts, tribunals and the Personal Injury Commission in NSW and the ACT.

Nicola works with CTP insurers in the defence of personal injury claims brought in NSW and the ACT.

Qualifications

Nicola has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University, as well as a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law.

Life before Sparkes

Before joining Sparkes, Nicola was a law clerk at a boutique personal injury firm in the ACT, supporting lawyers in a range of personal injury matters, including motor accident, workers’ compensation and public liability claims.

Life outside of Sparkes

Outside of work, Nicola enjoys Pilates, all things pop culture and a never-ending quest to find Canberra’s best cocktails.
