Morgan is an experienced property lawyer with a background in advising private and government clients across Australia on all aspects of property law. Morgan prides himself on providing practical, insightful and timely advice to assist clients achieve their objectives.
What he does
Morgan has extensive experience assisting clients with retail, commercial and industrial and hotel leasing (including for major and institutional clients), property projects (including land subdivisions, strata, stratum and community title developments), bulk conveyancing and acquisitions and disposals (both by agreement and compulsion) of various asset classes.
Who he works with
Morgan acts for a broad range of clients including local, state and Commonwealth government agencies, private clients, listed companies, developers, investment funds and real estate investment trusts.
Qualifications
Morgan has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours – Class I), a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Newcastle. He is also an Accredited Specialist in Property Law and is a member of the Law Society’s Property Law Specialist Accreditation Advisory Committee.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Morgan was a Senior Associate at an Australian national law firm, working across its Newcastle, Sydney and Melbourne offices and also enjoyed a secondment with a Commonwealth government agency.
Life outside of Sparkes
In his spare time, Morgan enjoys travelling (both domestically and abroad), spending time with his family, a nice red wine and exploring new bars and cafes. He is a long-suffering Newcastle Knights fan and rarely misses a game.
