Melissa advises clients on Commonwealth workers' compensation claims and specialises in administrative law, immigration law, statutory compensation law and litigation.
What she does
Melissa is skilled in dispute resolution and regularly appears as an advocate before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) in preliminary and conciliation conferences as well as in directions and substantive hearings, including veterans' entitlements hearings. She also regularly appears in the Federal Circuit Court (FCC) and Federal Court of Australia (FCA).
She provides comprehensive and strategic advice to clients at each stage of the claims process.
Who she works with
Melissa manages a high volume practice for the Commonwealth departments and various licensees in the AAT, FCC and FCA.
Qualifications
Melissa has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Social Inquiry) degree and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Life before Sparkes
Melissa was a solicitor at a global law firm before she joined Sparke Helmore in 2014.

Melissa enjoys dining out, travelling and spending time with friends and family.
