Leanne is a litigation, dispute resolution and insolvency lawyer. She assists clients across a range of disputes, with a focus on commercial outcomes. She maintains a diverse practice emcompassing all aspects of insolvency and restructuring.
What she does
Leanne has extensive experience with commercial disputes and insolvency matters and regularly appears in all levels of State and Federal Courts and Tribunals. She advises on general contractual disputes, property disputes, consumer law disputes and defamation. Her experience in insolvency and debt recovery includes advising insolvency practitioners, directors and creditors on legislative, regulatory and cross-border insolvency issues.
Leanne also brings experience in professional disciplinary jurisdictions acting for regulators in statutory prosecutions and administrative reviews.

Leanne works with public and private sector clients across a range of different industries, the Commonwealth of Australia, local government bodies, insurers, insolvency practitioners and banks.
Qualifications
Leanne holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Queensland University of Technology.
Life before Sparkes
Leanne began her legal career in 2018. Before joining Sparke Helmore, Leanne worked for a boutique Brisbane firm specialising in insolvency and commercial litigation.
Life outside of Sparkes
In her free time, you will find Leanne at the beach basking in the Queensland sun. She enjoys extreme weather and loves to travel to freezing mountain tops to snowboard or Asian and European countries with sweltering summers to be by the water. She prioritises her health and especially enjoys boxing and pilates.
