Lauren is an insurance litigation lawyer with a focus on workers compensation. She has advised clients on a range of issues and represented them in proceedings before the NSW Personal Injury Commission, as well as advising on matters in the District and Supreme Courts of NSW.
What she does
Lauren provides strategic advice to clients, particularly in relation to alternative dispute resolution, statutory interpretation and litigation. She has acted for and advised clients in relation to both statutory benefit disputes and common law claims, including complex third-party disputes.
She also provides advice to Commonwealth agencies in relation of decision-making and review processes in the Administrative Review Tribunal.

Lauren works with employers, insurers and Commonwealth Government departments.
Qualifications
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), Diploma of Legal Practice and Bachelor of Social Science, from the University of Newcastle.
Life before Sparkes
Lauren has previously worked at a boutique insurance litigation and personal injury law firm.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys a well-made cheese platter, trashy TV and a nice glass of wine. She also derives great joy from watching her husband’s Saturday football matches and providing unsolicited feedback.
