Koreen is an experienced property lawyer, with a background in conveyancing and planning law. She specialises in property acquisitions and disposals for a range of clients, leasing matters, strata titling and property disputes.
What she does
Koreen regularly advises clients on a range of property transactions, including property development, easements, acquisitions and disposals of residential, industrial and commercial sites. She is experienced in acting for various parties on both commercial and retail leases, agreements to lease and licences and retirement village contracts.
Her experience in planning law bolsters her commercial property and leasing advice. Koreen is familiar with subdivisions, strata law and staged developments.
Koreen is also experienced in acting on property disputes and has appeared in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, together with courts of varying jurisdictions including the Land & Environment Court and the Supreme Court.

Koreen works with property owners and developers, listed and private companies, local councils and state government agencies.
Qualifications
Koreen has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Criminology from the University of New England. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore, Koreen worked at a boutique property law firm in Sydney and a specialist corporate and commercial law firm in Newcastle.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside the office, you will generally find Koreen in one of three places—chatting instead of exercising with her friends at the gym, enjoying an ocean swim (regardless of the water temperature), or curled up with a coffee and a good book. She is always looking for her next favourite restaurant, coastal walk or overseas adventure.
