Jennifer is an experienced litigation lawyer working in our Commercial Insurance team, specialising in CTP. She also has experience in personal injury and liability claims, commercial and family law. Jennifer prides herself on being efficient, collaborative and commercially-minded, and endeavouring to provide exceptional service and outcomes for her clients.
She has experience protecting her client’s interests in the Local, District and Supreme Courts as well as the Personal Injury Commission (previously the Claims Assessment and Resolution Service and Medical Assessment Service).
Jennifer has also devoted her time to a number of pro bono initiatives.
What she does
Jennifer defends personal injury claims on behalf of Insurers. She has an interest and expertise in investigating fraud and nominal defendant claims, procedural and medical causation issues, claims and negotiation strategy, and multi-party claims.
Who she works with
Jennifer advises a number of major national insurers in CTP and Section 151Z Recovery claims, often involving complex liability, indemnity, fraud and quantum issues.
Qualifications
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies at Southern Cross University and has partially completed a Master of Laws with the University of Sydney.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore in early 2019, Jennifer was employed by a number of law firms, including another national law firm specialising in insurance, plaintiff personal injury and commercial litigation law firms and a family law firm in the United Kingdom.
Life outside of Sparkes
Jennifer can be found travelling, hiking, enjoying a wine in a cosy pub and loyally supporting the Sydney Roosters and Sydney Swans. She is also a devoted mother and loves spending time with her family.
