Jason has practiced across a broad range of commercial litigation areas and now practices in the financial lines space, predominately focusing on the resolution of professional indemnity disputes. He has also developed a strong practice in resolving property damage disputes.
Jason has developed a strategic focus with a strong emphasis on adopting a commercially minded approach to the resolution of disputes, by ensuring his advice to clients is concise and thorough so clients can make the most informed decisions about resolution of matters.
What he does
Jason regularly acts for professionals in a broad range of sectors, including construction and engineering, allied health and financial services. He also acts for both plaintiffs and defendants on property damage claims, transgressing from managing small scale recoveries to running multi-party complex and large-scale litigation.
Jason’s focus is on providing concise, tailored advise that cuts to the critical issues and maps a way forward which suits the needs and interests of his clients. He prides himself on achieving excellent outcomes as he continues to build his practice.

Qualifications
Jason holds a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University.
Life before Sparkes
Before joining Sparke Helmore, Jason worked across a range of boutique and mid-tier firms in various commercial litigation roles, most notably running body corporate litigation, debt recovery and insolvency practices.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of Sparke Helmore, you will find Jason renovating his Queenslander home, spending time at the beach with his dog or being active pursuing sports such as snowboarding, hiking or mountain biking.
