Jake is a litigator, specialising in administrative law. He regularly appears as a solicitor advocate in the Federal Court and Federal Circuit Court in judicial review proceedings as well as the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in merits review proceedings.

Qualifications
Jake holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Business degrees from the Queensland University of Technology. He completed his Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law.
Life before Sparkes
Jake started his career as a Federal Prosecutor at the Office of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions. He then joined the Department of Home Affairs as a legal officer, before joining Sparke Helmore in 2015.
Life outside of Sparkes
Jake is a convert to F45 and you will find him training in his local studio most mornings. He also enjoys travelling to new countries in Europe, but is never able to resist the temptation of exploring his heritage on the Greek islands during summer.
