What she does

Isabella has extensive legal expertise in the laws of Australia and England & Wales. She specialises in international M&A and regulation in the general and life insurance sector and acts for a wide range of (re)insurer, agency and broker clients on M&A transactions, group reorganisations, distribution arrangements, financial services and prudential governance matters along with general corporate and commercial solutions.

Isabella also has a particular focus on structured reinsurance transactions, collateral arrangements and portfolio transfers.

Isabella advises clients across the financial services sector. She primarily acts for international life and general (re)insurers, brokers, underwriting agencies and financial services providers.

Qualifications

Isabella has a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Oxford. She is admitted to practice in England and Wales.

Life before Sparkes

Isabella has extensive international experience having practised in two leading international law firms in London and latterly Australia.

Life outside of Sparkes

Isabella is a passionate reader and aims (usually successfully) to get through one book a week. She has developed a new love for outside pursuits in her adopted home of New Zealand, including hiking off grid and year round ocean swimming. Isabella is a frequent traveller to Sydney and Melbourne as well as London and San Francisco. She cherishes spending time with family and friends and long walks on empty Coromandel beaches with her dog.
