Gemma specialises in personal injury insurance litigation. Her experience extends to CTP, public liability and medical negligence claims in litigated and non-litigated matters. She has appeared in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of NSW as well as in the Claims Assessment Resolution Service. Gemma also participates in our pro bono and community initiatives.
Gemma’s practice includes complex CTP matters involving liability, causation, quantum, infant claims, compensation to relatives’ claims, blameless accidents, and claims involving the Nominal Defendant. She provides practical and commercial advice to her clients to develop effective strategies for early dispute resolution.
Gemma works with state and interstate insurers as well as claims management practitioners.
Gemma holds a Bachelor of Media and Bachelor of Laws with Honours from Macquarie University, and a Graduate Diploma in Practical Legal Training.
In 2013 and 2014, Gemma worked in Phnom Penh as an international trial monitor in the Khmer Rouge Tribunal in the United Nations sanctioned Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
In her spare time, Gemma is a floral designer and creates floral arrangements for weddings and events. She is also a certified yoga and acrobatics teacher.
