Erica is an experienced insurance lawyer having worked in commercial insurance litigation since 2018. Erica has managed various insurance claims including liability, motor vehicle injury and workers’ compensation, with a substantial part of her practice in the motor vehicle injury space.
What she does
Erica has significant skills in claim management and resolution and takes great pride in providing clear, concise advices and complying with strict deadlines. Erica’s skills in advocacy and negotiation are regularly tested with attendances at WorkCover WA conciliation conferences and pre-trial conferences at the District Court. Erica has also attended as the instructing solicitor on several trials. Efficient management and resolution of each matter is on the forefront of Erica’s mind.

Erica works with the Insurance Commission of Western Australia, commercial insurers, employers, and brokers.
Qualifications
Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University and a Bachelor of Law from the University of New England. She also holds a Diploma in Insurance Broking.
Life before Sparkes
Erica spent 10 years as an insurance broker in the Commercial and Corporate space. After obtaining her law degree, Erica gained exposure in various areas of insurance litigation including public liability and financial lines.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending time with her two young children and training for various sporting events including half-ironman, marathons, and open water swims.
