Emily is a highly regarded insurance litigator with 20+ years of experience in general liability claims (personal injury, property damage and product liability).  Emily is recognised for her pragmatic, proactive, commercial and technical approach to claims management and client solutions.

What she does

Emily advises and acts for insurers and corporate clients in litigated and unlitigated general liability and institutional abuse claims.  Emily provides training and advice to boards and management on risk and claims prevention, particularly in the retail space.  She provides advice on coverage, contribution and recovery from third parties and deals with complex liability and quantum claims.

Emily also advises insurers and their boards on complex indemnity and coverage issues in response to portfolios of claims for historical abuse. Also, she conducts the defence of claims on behalf of religious institutions, schools and not-for-profits with a sensitive and proactive approach to resolution.
