What she does
Elisa specialises in insurance litigation with a primary focus on personal injury claims arising from motor vehicle accidents. Elisa’s demonstrated expertise extends to management of complex major/catastrophic claims, dispute resolution, multi-party claims, indemnity disputes and matters involving allegations of fraud. Elisa regularly instructs in defended hearings in the District Court, as well as in CARS and in the Supreme Court for Judicial Review matters.

Qualifications
Elisa has a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law from the University of NSW.
She also has a Master of Law from the University of NSW.
Elisa is admitted to the High Court of Australia.
Life before Sparkes
Elisa started her career as a personal injury lawyer acting for the injured members of the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU) in all areas of personal injury including Workers Compensation, Public Liability, Superannuation TPD and Life Insurance and CTP.
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore, Elisa was a solicitor at a national Australian Firm and also worked in London for the Government Legal Department as a litigation lawyer, offering a breadth of experience in various complex litigations including cross-national judicial appeal cases.
Life outside of Sparkes
Elisa enjoys running and completed her first half-marathon recently. She loves to go on long runs on the weekend and also spend time with her dog at a café or park. She also likes exploring new countries and cultures having travelled to over 20 countries
