Edwina Oliver

What she does

Edwina advises clients on a range of corporate and commercial matters including compliance with corporate governance and director’s obligations, public and private equity transactions, foreign investment, corporate structuring and commercial contracting. While Edwina’s specialty is corporate law, she has experience across a range of legal specialties, having also practiced in retail banking and finance, financial services and insolvency law.

Edwina works with a wide range of companies and other entities of all sizes, including private and publicly listed commercial entities and not-for profit or charitable organisations.

Qualifications

Edwina has a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Economic and Social Sciences from Sydney University.

Life before Sparkes

Admitted as a lawyer over 12 years ago, Edwina has worked in the legal industry for over 17 years. She has experience working across private practice, in-house and as a knowledge lawyer.

Life outside of Sparkes

Outside of work, Edwina is an active member of Surf Lifesaving and Nippers at Clovelly Surf Lifesaving Club. She enjoys cycling and doing almost anything outdoors—usually with a podcast playing and ideally followed by popcorn and a movie on the couch with her kids.
