Daphne is an administrative law specialist who represents Commonwealth agencies in administrative law litigation before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
What she does
Daphne advises, and appears on behalf of, government clients in merits review proceedings before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Her expertise lies in administrative law and she advises on liability, quantum, and works closely with clients to effectively resolve matters through alternative dispute resolution. She understands her clients’ needs through her time on secondment and is an experienced solicitor-advocate.
Who she works with
Daphne advises and represents a broad range of Commonwealth Government departments, as well as agencies, insurers and self-insured licensees.
Qualifications
Daphne has a Juris Doctor from Murdoch University.
Life before Sparkes
Daphne started her legal career at Herbert Smith Freehills before joining Sparke Helmore in 2016.
Life outside of Sparkes
Daphne is a busy mum of two young boys, who finds her skills as a lawyer are put to use regularly when parenting her 8 (going on 18) year old son. She is currently engaging her creative side by learning to paint with acrylics and spends her time finding new ways to keep her energetic one year old engaged.
