Chris is an experienced employment, industrial relations and work health and safety lawyer. He has expertise in advising and representing clients in contentious and non-contentious workplace and regulatory matters.
What he does
Chris brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge in all aspects of employment, industrial relations, regulatory and work health and safety law. Chris is a skilled advocate, having represented both private and public sector clients in the Fair Work Commission, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia and Queensland Industrial Relations Commission in a range of matters including unfair dismissal, general protection, discrimination, underpayment and work health and safety claims.
Who he works with
Chris represents a wide range of clients including publicly listed companies, small and medium enterprises, and insurance companies across a variety of industries including agriculture, mining, retail, health and manufacturing. In addition, Chris has extensive experience representing and advising the Commonwealth Government including some of the largest agencies having undertaken a secondment for a number of years.
Qualifications
Chris holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time on his motorbike and cooking overly elaborate meals for his family.
