Chelsea is an insurance lawyer practising primarily in property damage and personal injury claims. She has expertise in managing large volumes of litigated files for a range of clients from local governments and insurance companies to sole traders and self-insured corporations.
What she does
Chelsea advises on statutory and common law liability, claims for indemnity (principal / contractual), dual insurance, negligence (including contributory negligence), liability of host employers / third party tortfeasors, recovery and quantum. She also advises and represents insurers and self-insured companies in subrogated recoveries and the defence of claims for personal injuries and property damage.

Aimee works with Australian and international insurers, brokers, underwriters and their insured entities as well as private clients ranging from local businesses to multi-national corporations and ASX listed companies.
Qualifications
Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Communications and a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore in 2020, Chelsea worked as an Associate in other national and international law firms.
Life outside of Sparkes
Chelsea has a busy life outside of work, focused around her three young sons who are all under the age of six years old! In her spare time, she loves travelling, decent wine (or gin) and catching up with friends.
