Cara is an experienced insurance litigator who assists insurers and corporations on a variety of general liability claims including public liability, property damage and professional indemnity.
Cara advises clients on liability, quantum and settlement prospects. Her time spent in house for a large national insurer also allows her to bring a client's perspective to claims management and litigation.
Cara works with local and overseas insurers, brokers, corporations and self-insureds.
Cara has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Legal Studies (major in Alternative Dispute Resolution) from Murdoch University.
Cara has mostly worked in insurance litigation and has experience across a number of jurisdictions, including Western Australia, Victoria and the United Kingdom. During her time in the United Kingdom, she worked at the Financial Services Authority investigating system and control failings as well as unauthorised trading by one of Europe's major banks. The investigation ultimately led to one of the largest fines ever imposed by the Authority.
Cara has a young family and spends her spare time at the beach, playing at the local playground or negotiating with her toddler! Cara also enjoys travelling and is always researching destinations for her next adventure!
