Cara is an experienced insurance litigator who assists insurers and corporations on a variety of general liability claims including public liability, property damage and professional indemnity.
What she does
Cara advises clients on liability, quantum and settlement prospects. Her time spent in house for a large national insurer also allows her to bring a client's perspective to claims management and litigation.
Who she works with
Cara works with local and overseas insurers, brokers, corporations and self-insureds.
Qualifications
Cara has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Legal Studies (major in Alternative Dispute Resolution) from Murdoch University.
Life before Sparkes
Cara has mostly worked in insurance litigation and has experience across a number of jurisdictions, including Western Australia, Victoria and the United Kingdom. During her time in the United Kingdom, she worked at the Financial Services Authority investigating system and control failings as well as unauthorised trading by one of Europe's major banks. The investigation ultimately led to one of the largest fines ever imposed by the Authority.
Life outside of Sparkes
Cara loves spending her free time at the beach and enjoys travelling and researching destinations for her next adventure!
