Anthony is an experienced litigator and solicitor-advocate who advises government agencies on a range of administrative law and regulatory issues. He has acted in multiple matters before the Administrative Review Tribunal, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and the Federal Court.
What he does
Anthony is focused on litigation work within the government space. His main areas of work include merits review applications in the Administrative Review Tribunal. He also acts in judicial review applications, as well as regulatory and enforcement matters, on behalf of Commonwealth agencies in the Federal Court and Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
Anthony also provides advice to government clients on the interpretation of various portfolio legislation.

Qualifications
Anthony has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Notre Dame Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Ancient History from Macquarie University.
Life before Sparkes
Anthony worked as an Associate at the then Administrative Appeals Tribunal after graduating from university. He then worked as a Legal Officer and Acting Senior Legal Officer for the Department of Home Affairs and the Fair Work Ombudsman before joining Sparkes in 2023.
Life outside of Sparkes
Anthony is fascinated by complicated board games and enjoys trying to find his favourite martini in Sydney. He otherwise hopes his regular yoga and kettlebell sessions balance his love of chocolate bars.
