Anthony is a workplace lawyer with a particular focus on regulatory matters. He works with the firm’s clients to help them manage their critical workplace risks, including workplace incidents, regulatory investigations, and criminal / regulatory prosecutions.
What he does
Anthony acts in defence of WHS prosecutions in the Victorian and Commonwealth jurisdictions. His experience across both the criminal and WHS areas means the firm’s clients benefit from advice that is considered, balanced and allows an accurate assessment of briefs of evidence and identification of legal issues.
Who he works with
Anthony works with the state and federal government and private sector clients across a range of industries, including mining, construction, stevedoring, health, manufacturing, education, utilities, and transport and logistics.
Qualifications
Anthony has a Bachelor of Laws (honours) from Victoria University and a Bachelor of Arts from The Australian National University.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore, Anthony has worked in senior level roles for various Government Departments and Agencies.
Life outside of Sparkes
Anthony is a sports fanatic and previously played professional cricket in Australia and overseas. He still enjoys elite level sport providing guidance and leadership through his coaching roles. Anthony is a certified mental skills coach and is passionate about assisting others to improve their lives through the application of mental skills development. He also has a strong interest in fitness and has competed in triathlons and open water swimming races.
