Anthony is a commercial lawyer with over five years of post-admission experience advising on, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements across both public and private sectors. He has particular expertise in intellectual property, including commercialisation and enforcement. His work includes advising public sector bodies on complex commercial arrangements, collaborations, and partnerships involving universities, government departments, and industry.

Anthony advises on governance, procurement, and commercial contracting. His work supports agencies in navigating complex regulatory and contractual frameworks, enabling them to manage risk effectively and deliver on strategic objectives through structured, compliant, and outcome-focused commercial arrangements.

Qualifications
Anthony holds a Juris Doctor (Distinction) from the University of New South Wales, a PhD from the University of Sydney, and a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Life before Sparkes
Anthony commenced his legal career at a major international law firm and later moved into an in-house position within the public sector before joining Sparke Helmore in June 2025.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of work, Anthony immerses himself in the wonders of science and technology, especially biological sciences, AI, solar energy, and environmental sustainability. Holding a PhD and with research experience, Anthony enjoys exploring the latest scientific advancements and their impact on our world.
