Anna has worked in a variety of roles in state-based workers’ compensation, representing workers, registered and self-insured employers, and the state statutory authority and its claims agents.
This diverse experience on ‘all sides of the fence’ allows Anna to approach issues in a considered and holistic manner. Anna’s approach is about building and maintaining client relationships by acting in the best interests of the client, whilst also balancing the objectives of the state-based Scheme.
Anna has had the opportunity to litigate matters on behalf of each interested party which has added to the depth of her expertise, whilst also instilling in her an appreciation for the (often times) competing interests that require skilled management in order to reach a pragmatic outcome.
What she does
Anna provides strategic advice at all levels of claims management to self-insured employers and the statutory authority and its claims agents. She offers training and consultancy services to assist in the claims management process and to identify and minimise risk, right through to providing skilled representation during tribunal proceedings.

Anna represents insurers and self-insurers in the workers’ compensation area.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University in Adelaide.
Life before Sparkes
Anna has worked across all areas of the workers compensation jurisdiction in South Australia, having represented workers, registered and self-insured employers, and the state statutory authority and its claims agents across small to boutique to top-tier firms.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of work, Anna is a mum of two young boys which keep her very busy. She enjoys binge watching tv shows, live music, interior design, spending time with her friends and having dance parties in the lounge room.
