Alexandra has worked in a variety of roles in workers’ compensation since 2015 and has experience in all levels of case management and related litigation. This gives Alexandra the experience and knowledge to advise clients on technical legal issues, while taking a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution, depending on the client’s specific needs and requirements.
What she does
Alexandra primarily works in workers’ compensation, providing advice to the State statutory authority and its claims agents on all matters relating to claims made under the South Australian worker’s compensation legislation. Alexandra provides advice on advisory and claims management issues, as well as managing disputes from alternative dispute resolution through to litigation.
Alexandra also practices in Commonwealth workers’ compensation, providing advice and representation on disputed matters in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

Alexandra works with a state workers’ compensation statutory authority and its claims agents and commonwealth clients in the workers’ compensation area.
Qualifications
Alexandra has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and History) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Adelaide.
Life before Sparkes
Prior to joining Sparke Helmore, Alexandra worked for a consultancy firm, providing worker’s compensation claims management services for self-insured employers in South Australia, before moving to one of the registered Claims Agents. Whilst employed at a Claims Agent, Alexandra worked in several areas, including medical claims management and dispute resolution.
Life outside of Sparkes
Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys re-watching 90s sitcoms, reading, watching the football (AFL!) and drinking craft beers.
