Quality and consistency through collaboration

We are pleased to announce that two of our Partners, Catherine Wilkinson and Katherine Whittemore have been recognised as finalists for the Lawyers Weekly Partner of the Year Awards in their respective categories.

Catherine Wilkinson—Employment Partner of the Year

Catherine leads our national Workplace Group and is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She advises public and private sector clients on issues relating to employment and safety in the workplace.  Clients trust and value her advice, evidenced by her enduring relationships with many of her clients for whom she has worked with for over 20 years.

Adopting a strategic yet empathetic approach, Catherine has managed many catastrophic workplace incidents (involving multiple fatalities) from an immediate coordinated response, through to responding to Regulator requests and investigations, coronial inquests, and defending prosecutions. Drawing upon years of expertise, Catherine provides pragmatic solutions to difficult issues.

Katherine Whittemore—Government Partner of the Year

Katherine is an experienced litigator and advocate with expertise in both administrative and criminal law. She regularly appears in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal, Federal Circuit Court, Federal Court and High Court of Australia for Commonwealth Government entities in matters involving statutory interpretation, merits review and judicial review.

Katherine has extensive experience advising Commonwealth departments across a number of areas including debt enforcement proceedings, civil penalty proceedings, coronial inquiries, intervention order matters, FOI, privacy, statutory interpretation, human rights law and criminal law. She is also listed as a Leading Administrative & Public Lawyer in Doyle's Guide.

About the Partner of the Year Awards

The winners of the Partner of the Year Awards will be announced on Thursday 28 July at a black-tie event at the Star Sydney. The awards identify the legal partners, or partners equivalent, across individual practice areas within the Australian legal profession.

The awards are regarded as one of the legal profession’s most prestigious accolades and pinpoint professional development and innovation, showcasing the individuals who are leading the way in the industry.

Congratulations again to Catherine and Katherine!
