Quality and consistency through collaboration

We are pleased to announce that Shannon Platt, Partner and National Service Line Leader of the Intellectual Property & Technology Team, has been recognised as an IP ‘Trade mark star’ for 2024 in the IP STARS guide by Managing IP.

Shannon specialises in brand protection, IP litigation and IP commercialisation. This includes international trade marks and designs registration (including advice, prosecution and representation in oppositions and actions before IP offices), agreements for technology and other IP licensing and commercialisation (including copyright, trade marks, designs, and confidential information and trade secrets), advertising and brand clearance (including advising on Australian Consumer Law issues and promotional lottery regulations), and disputes, including litigation and domain name disputes via the UDRP, auDRP and like processes.

She has more than 20 years’ experience representing clients in infringement and revocation proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia for trade mark, copyright, patent and design disputes, as well as litigation arising from misleading or deceptive conduct, breach of confidence and trade secret protection.

IP STARS guide is the leading specialist ranking publication for the IP profession.  With the IP arena in Australia being extremely competitive, being recognised as a 'Trade mark star' is an outstanding achievement.
