Congratulations to John Toigo, Partner in our Brisbane office who has been recognised as a Best Lawyers “2023 Lawyer of the Year” in Commercial Law (Brisbane). 

John is one of Queensland’s top commercial lawyers with more than 30 years’ experience. He is well-known for specialising in commercial and corporate transactions, foreign investment as well as mining and resources. 

John has advised on many large corporate transactions including a US$1.15 billion investment in an iron ore project in WA, a $55 million sale of a medical services company to an international company, and a $200 million acquisition of shares for additional interest in a coal mine in the Hunter Valley. John advises his clients through the bidding process, due diligence and the contract negotiations. He has expertise in managing difficult transactions that involve joint ventures and company acquisitions.
