George Roussos joins Sparke Helmore's Statutory Lines Insurance team
01-July-2025Sparke Helmore is pleased to announce George Roussos has joined our Statutory Lines Insurance team as Local Managing Partner of our Darwin office, effective 1 July 2025.
George has extensive experience in advising clients on business and commercial disputes, work health and safety, employment, insurance, and workers compensation. His work with clients includes both initiating and defending claims, as well as negotiating and mediating disputes.
George is a nationally accredited Mediator. He has served on many committees and business associations, including as President of the Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce, Chair of the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Advisory Council, and as a Director of the Power and Water Corporation. Additionally, George is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow (Ethics in Leadership) and has completed the Harvard Law School Negotiation Workshop and Advanced Negotiation Workshop.
George is joined by a team of three, including Special Counsel Melanie Blackman.
