We are pleased to announce that David Kerwin has joined our Specialty Lines team as a Partner, as of 4 November.

David’s experience encompasses policy coverage and defence of claims across all major insurance lines, particularly financial lines (including D&O, liability, management liability and professional indemnity, property (first and third party) and life insurance.

He has extensive experience in acting in class action proceedings as well as for insureds in defending a range of professional negligence claims against accountants, taxation professionals, stockbrokers, financial planners, architects, engineers and other building professionals.  David also advises on a wide range of London Market and composite insurers’ disputes concerning property and liability losses.  Additionally, in the life insurance space, he regularly provides comprehensive coverage advice to underwriters and insurers concerning policy responses in TPD, income protection, and general life insurance and including in recovery actions.

His clients include major Australian and London market insurers, brokers and underwriters as well as multi-national and national policy holders/insureds including SMEs.  He also acts for businesses and high net worth individuals in commercial disputes.

David, who joins us from Clyde & Co, is based in our Brisbane office.
